METRO electronic cigarettes (e-cigs) emit a smoke-like vapor. This innovative device enables smokers to inhale a flavorful full bodied vapor. Using a METRO e-cigarette (e-cig) gives you the sensation of smoking a traditional cigarette without the offensive smell, flame and dirty ashes. Smokers who switch to METRO enjoy the high-tech alternative to traditional cigarettes plus the benefits of being able to smoke in many places where traditional smoking is not allowed.

METRO Electronic Cigarettes (e-cigs) use the most advanced vaporizing technology on the market today. When using METRO, the act of inhaling (smoking) triggers a vaporizing process that releases simulated smoke which is actually a vapor mist that evaporates into the air within a few seconds. Unlike other E-cigarettes out there, using METRO is a 2-step process; charge the battery and twist on your cartridge (cartomizer), thats it! Other e-cigarette providers require you to deal with cartridges, atomizers, and processes that involve leaking liquids and messes.

There is no need to turn your METRO on or off. The METRO electronic cigarette (e-cig) has a built in sensor which only activates when you inhale. You never have to remember to turn off your METRO. There is no risk that your finished METRO might start a fire in the trash, on clothes or bedding, or elsewhere.

Please see our detalied instructions on how to use your METRO by clicking here.

The leading reasons people use METRO include:

  • Vapor instead of smoke
  • Virtually odorless
  • No embarrassment or guilt
  • Non-flammable
  • Easy to use, convenient
  • "Tobacco-like" taste and flavors
  • Lower cost than traditional smoking
  • Won't stain teeth or damage skin
  • Ability to gradually decrease nicotine consumption

Most users of METRO will tell you the flavor or taste of our products closely replicates traditional cigarettes. METRO cartridges (cartomizers) are available in popular smoking flavors - traditional "tobacco" and menthol flavors.

The odor from METRO is barely noticeable and does not linger, unlike traditional smoking products that create lasting, difficult-to-neutralize smells in rooms, cars and clothing. METRO provides smokers an alternative in places where smoking is regulated. Use of METRO depends on your location - it may or may not be prohibited by statutes or ordinances that otherwise prohibit smoking.

KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN: Choking and ingestion hazard

Atomizers are considered essential for allowing an e-cig to function properly. Without this device, a smoker would never be able to experience the thrill that comes with smoking an e-cig. An atomizer is a small heating element which is required to vaporize the cartridge that holds liquid nicotine. The design is simple. It contains a metal mesh that has elements which first draw the liquid in and then transform it into harmless water vapor.

If you experience little or no vapor when using, ensure that your battery is fully charged and properly attached to the METRO product, and that the cartridge is firmly attached to the end of the product. When the vapor volume is reduced below a satisfactory level, replace with a new METRO cartridge. Store cartridges (cartomizers) in a cool and dry place. Shelf life is 24 months from purchase date. You should never place other liquids into an METRO cartridge (cartomizer) and doing so will VOID THE PRODUCT WARRANTY.

Yes, Nicotek cartridges (cartomizers) are recyclable. The contents of the cartridge (cartomizer) can be separated and recycled, with some of the contents up to three times. Before adding to your recycle refuse, please contact your immediate recycling plant to ensure they are equipped to dismantle this type of product.

Though recycling facilities are becoming more up to date with equipment to process component devices, not all are. If they are not equipped to handle please visit this link to find additional facilities in your area.

  1. Remove the spent cartridge (cartomizer) from the e-cig.
  2. Rinse the cartridge (cartomizer) under running water to remove any residual nicotine.
  3. Wrap the cartridge (cartomizer) in foil or tissue to add bulk. This will make the cartridge (cartomizer) too big to swallow.
  4. Place the cartridge (cartomizer) in the garbage immediately.

A METRO battery will last 1-3 days before needing re-charging, depending on the intensity and quantity of puffs. The indicator light tip will blink multiple times when the battery is getting low on power. We encourage you to carry with you an extra, charged battery.

Charge a new battery initially for about 3-4 hours. Subsequent recharges should take about 3-4 hours. A battery can be recharged in excess of 300 times before reaching its useful life. METRO also offers an automobile cigarette lighter charger for your convenience, which can be purchased at this website.

METRO uses a 3.6V special lithium battery and charger, which cannot be replaced by other lithium batteries or chargers. The input supply voltage of the charger is AC100-240V, 50/60Hz, or DC 12-24V. When traveling, ensure that the local electrical supply is in accordance with these specifications.

Most definitely. Like any battery, your battery has probably built up a bit of corrosion that needs to be cleaned off. Cleaning is easy and fast and can be done with two very simple household cleaning products - a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol. Please visit our "Cleaning Your Smokeless Cigarette Battery" page for more details.

WARNING: METRO batteries, as sold, meet all necessary safety tests required for the manufacturing of lithium ion batteries. The tampering with or modification of any METRO lithium ion battery is extremely dangerous. Any battery that has been tampered with or modified in any fashion will VOID THE PRODUCT WARRANTY and will release METRO Electronic Cigarette from any product liability.

Lithium Ion batteries can and should be recycled.

In the event that recycling is not a possibility, please read the following:

Proper Battery Disposal

Batteries should be kept in a storage area, such as a heavy plastic container with a lid in a dry environment. Excessive exposure to heat and, or water causes the batteries to release their contents at an unsafe rate. The container should be kept clear from commonly used areas, as well as sources of water and food. The containment of the batteries will help to prevent damage to livestock, water supplies, agriculture, and food supplies, which in turn reduces the possibility of physical harm to the human’s immune system.

With ever-increasing taxes and price hikes on tobacco products, METRO can save you money and is more affordable than traditional tobacco smoking.

If you average smoking one pack of tobacco cigarettes per day, at an average cost of $6 per pack, you would spend $2,190 per year.

Using a METRO at a similar rate would cost you approximately $610.00 per year, a savings of more than $1500

METRO emits what appears to be smoke but is actually a virtually odorless mist that evaporates into the air within seconds, similar to the functioning of a humidifier. METRO leaves no visual residue in the air or lingering smell in clothes, a home or car, or other places, whereas tobacco smoking can leave an unsightly, acrid cloud known to irritate eyes and bother people's senses.

In various locations, use of METRO may or use may not be prohibited by statutes or ordinances that otherwise prohibit smoking.

Still, do not be surprised when people ask about you smoking METRO. After all, to the casual observer, using METRO creates the appearance of tobacco smoking. Customers report that simply explaining to others how METRO works usually creates acceptance for using the product.

The primary cartridge ingredient is propylene glycol, and the secondary ingredients are water, nicotine and a flavor to replicate the taste of traditional smoking. There are much less ingredients in a METRO than a traditional cigarette.

  • Propylene Glycol - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has determined propylene glycol to be "generally recognized as safe" for use in food and propylene glycol is used in cosmetics and medicines. It is used in food coloring, and flavoring, as an additive to keep food, medicines and cosmetics moist, and in machines that simulate smoke, although usage in simulating smoking devices is not currently included in the list of uses recognized by the FDA. In METRO, propylene glycol functions to provide the vapor mist that looks like smoke and to suspend flavor
  • Water - The water used in METRO cartridges is filtered via a reverse-osmosis process
  • Nicotine - is an alkaloid found in certain plants, predominately tobacco, and in lower quantities, tomatoes, potatoes, eggplants, cauliflower, bell-peppers and some teas.
  • Ethanol - is 200% proof alcohol (same as used in making alcoholic beverages) and is used to extract nicotine from the tobacco leaf.
  • Glycerol (glycerin) - Glycerol is a chemical compound also commonly called glycerin or glycerine. It is a colorless, odorless, viscous liquid that is widely used in pharmaceutical formulations. For human consumption, glycerol is classified by the FDA among the sugar alcohols as a caloric macronutrient.
  • Acetylpyrazine - Used in the creation and/or manufacturing of cocoa, coffee, roasted peanuts, tea, beer, breakfast cereals, ice cream, candy, and other food products and nicotine cartridges and has been deemed safe for use by people.
  • Guaiacol - is an ingredient use to give the smoky taste.
  • Myosmine- is found in nut products, as well as tobacco
  • Cotinine- is metabolite of nicotine. Some studies have suggested that cotinine (as well as nicotine) improves memory and prevents neuron death
  • Vanillin- is used in the food industry as a flavoring agent in foods, beverages and pharmaceuticals.
